How a Social Media Feed Widget Works
A website social feed brings selected, already-published posts into a reusable website component. Social Content connects to the installed workspace, imports eligible posts from the accounts you choose, and provides display controls and installation code for the website. It does not publish new posts to social networks.
- Connect and publish through the workspace's social-planning tools.
- Open Social Content from the installed-app menu.
- Choose the social account or accounts that may supply website content.
- Import the published posts and choose automatic or manual display.
- Configure, preview and install the widget.
Choose Which Content Can Appear
Tracked accounts define the source boundary. Automatic mode displays the latest eligible posts up to the current allowance. Manual mode lets an authorised user choose individual posts. If an account stops being tracked, its posts are removed from the eligible collection so they cannot continue to appear through the widget.
Useful when the website should stay current with the latest approved published content.
Useful when every displayed post requires an additional selection step.
Match the Feed to the Website
The widget controls cover source, layout, number of posts, cards per row, colours, spacing, content fields, button labels and behaviour, and optional popups. Use real posts in the preview so long captions, missing images and different media shapes can be checked before installation.
- Keep text contrast readable against the chosen card colours.
- Check the layout at both desktop and mobile widths.
- Use a fallback image only when it makes sense for the website.
- Make button labels describe what will happen when selected.
Install, Test and Maintain the Widget
Copy the installation method shown in the Website area into the intended website builder, save the page and test it in a normal browser window. Confirm the expected posts appear, links open correctly and the mobile layout remains readable. Later widget-setting changes are used automatically after they are saved, subject to normal website caching.
Important Product Boundaries
Social Content is a curation and display tool, not a social scheduler, moderation service or archive of every network post. It processes published content from accounts selected inside the authorised installed app. The public product and help pages do not provide access to workspace content or settings.
Only use content you have the right to republish. Social-network availability, permissions and provider changes can affect what can be imported.
